  • Background

Brookvale playground has been a popular and well used facility by the community, neighbouring child care providers and sports users for the past 17 years. We would like to rejuvenate the existing play spaces including replacement of the play equipment and softfall, nature play elements in garden areas, Brookvale historic photo art wall, shade tree planting and other minor landscape improvements to playground furniture and infrastructure.

Brookvale Park Playground is located on the northern side of Brookvale Oval, a key sportsground venue, and adjoins a grassed recreation open space with bbq/picnic facilities and fitness area. The main entry to the existing playground is on Federal Parade, with two secondary entries (wheelchair friendly) from the open space / bbq area and from the child care centre car park.

Council’s aim is to provide a facility and equipment that offers increased social, recreation and play opportunities and maximises participation by the whole community and responds to the Brookvale Oval heritage.
