    Ausgrid Network Upgrade

Yesterday, contractors completed the Ausgrid network upgrade.

    These works included;

    • Power network adjustment
    • Cut over to new network
    • Removal of overhead poles and wires

    Catenary Lighting Feature

We have now poured the eightfootings in preparation for the new catenary lighting feature. The footings will provide the foundations required to stabilise the new structure.

    Water Feature

Installation of the pipes and jets for the new water feature have now commenced.

    What’s Next?

Planting of 8 new 6m tall palm trees will commence in September.

Who can I contact if you have any concerns during these works?

If you have any concerns during the works, you can speak directly to the contractors on site, or alternatively, you are welcome to contact Andrew Camarsh on 9942 2385.

  • Redman Road Plaza - Works Commenced

Our contractors have now set up their compound site located on the corner of Mooramba Road and Redman Road next to the Council car park and playground.

Last week our contractors installed site safety fencing outside business frontages on Redman Road Plaza. As a result of feedback from affected businesses, fencing has since been modified and removed to improve visibility, accessibility and to assist with business operations during the works.

The contractors works program has been modified and in future will implement a ‘mobile work zone’ to minimise impact to businesses at each location.

When works are required at each location, low water filled barriers will be installed to section off the work zone and fencing will only be installed when required for safety and security purposes.

    Pedestrian Access

Safe pedestrian access will be maintained through Redman Rd Plaza along with pedestrian directional signage and water filled barriers to assist. Pedestrians can access Redman Rd Plaza via Pittwater Rd, Fisher Rd and Redman Rd.

Additional kerb ramps have been placed over some gutters to allow for easier access and safe flow from the footpath.

    Road Closure

The cul-de-sac section of Stage 1 Redman Road Plaza has been closed to vehicle traffic using water filled barriers. Currently, the contractors are still allowing trucks to drop off deliveries as normal however, this will be closed off once works fully commence.

    Parking

Only the parking within the Redman Rd Plaza Stage 1 works area will be removed. Other parking may be affected temporarily during construction works.

    Post Box

The Post Box is currently located within the work zone. Australia Post has been contacted in regards to relocating this as soon as possible. Access to the Post Box will be maintained until it is ready for relocation. We will provide updates on this once we know where it will be relocated to.

    Construction Works Update

Our contractors are currently Finalising site establishment including barriers and preparation for closure of the Cul-de-sac.

An excavator will be on site from approximately 7am. Removal of pavers will commence from the corner near Florachino working backwards towards the Cul-de-Sac.

Once the pavers and sand have been removed from one side, works will them move to the other side near Godfrey’s, again working backwards towards the Col-de-Sac.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Redman Road Plaza Works, please contact Jen Moody on 99422755 to discuss further.
