    Thank you to all who provided feedback as part of Council’s non-statutory public exhibition of the Planning Proposal. Council received 23 submissions. All comments are being reviewed together with an assessment of the Planning Proposal.

    A report recommending whether the Planning Proposal should proceed is scheduled to be reported to the Council meeting on
    • Tuesday 19 December at the Civic Centre in Dee Why from 6.30pm.
    Confirmation of this meeting will occur upon the release of the Council meeting agenda, available on Council’s webpage on the Thursday prior to the meeting.

    You are welcome to attend the Council meeting. If you would like to address Council, you need to complete a Request to speak - public address form.

    A Planning Proposal was received on 24 October 2017 for 323-327 Warringah Road, Frenchs Forest (Lot 21 DP 881819).

    The Planning Proposal would allow ‘boarding houses’ as a permissible use with development consent as well as applying a 40 metre maximum building height. Should Council approve the application, it is proposed to dedicate the boarding houses to a registered community housing provider for affordable rental housing through a future Planning Agreement associated with the Planning Proposal.

    In accordance with the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 we are assessing the proposal to determine whether there is merit to proceed as an amendment to Warringah Local Environmental Plan 2011 (WLEP 2011).
