Warringah Aquatic Centre Site Development Strategy
Warringah Council is asking for community views to help it build better facilities at the Warringah Aquatic Centre Site.
“We want this site to be a relevant and vibrant recreational hub for the next 30 years,” said Warringah Mayor, Michael Regan.
Council is asking the community to submit ideas about how the site could be used in the future, including both aquatic and non-aquatic opportunities.
“We’re committed to keeping the main pool but are open to suggestions about what facilities we could add to make it better for all the community,” said the Mayor.
A team of consultants led by leisure planning and management specialists the Strategic Leisure Group have been engaged to undertake this significant project.
Over the next few months there will be a number of ways to be involved including surveys, focus groups, stakeholder advisory group and workshops.
The ideas and comments will be used to produce several design options for further community input.
