    Northern Beaches Council, on behalf of NSW Planning & Environment, is preparing a Precinct Structure Plan for the area around the new Northern Beaches Hospital, to guide future development.

    The draft Hospital Structure Plan was endorsed for Public Exhibition on 30 November 2016.

    Submissions Close 28 February 2017.

    The Greater Sydney Commission has developed the draft North District Plan. It maps the 20-year vision for the North District of Greater Sydney and includes the Local Government Areas of Hornsby, Hunter’s Hill, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Northern Beaches, Mosman, North Sydney, Ryde and Willoughby.

    The NSW Department of Planning & Environment are currently exhibiting a Draft Medium Density Design Guide and an Explanation of Intended Effect for a draft Medium Density Housing Code.

    The NSW Government have said that the draft Medium Density Design Guide is intended to promote better design outcomes for low rise medium density housing throughout NSW.

    The Explanation of Intended Effect outlines proposed amendments to the state policy on exempt and complying development to introduce a new Medium Density Housing Code. The draft Code will enable some medium density housing as complying development.
