May 2020 Community Hall fees re-exhibited

The Fees and Charges for Bilarong Community Hall are being re-exhibited through the Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan and Budget 20/21 process.

Feedback already received during the initial engagement earlier this year will be considered as part of the Operational Plan and Budget 20/21 submission period.

However further submissions are invited during this exhibition period.

May 2020 Delivery Program and Operational Plan

Following the Extraordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 5 May, Council resolved to place the Delivery Program 2020-2024 and Operational Plan and Budget 2020/21 for public exhibition.

As the Rescission Motion tabled on 5 May at the Extraordinary Council meeting was Lost, the Council resolution of Tuesday 28 April remains.

Apr 2020 Project update

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed new fees for the hiring of spaces in Bilarong Community Hall.

Due to measures currently in place to manage the risks COVID-19, we are now unable to open these spaces for hire this financial year.

The proposed new hire fees will now be considered in the Delivery Plan and Budget 2020/21 scheduled for public exhibition in May.

Submissions received to date will be carried over, however if you would like to comment further, you will be able to do so during this process.

We will update this page with the links to the draft Delivery Plan and Budget 2020/21 when available for viewing.

Bilarong Community Hall

Located on Crown Land, under the care, control and management of Council, the hall is adjacent to Narrabeen Lagoon, just off Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen.

The Bilarong Community Hall has been home to the 1st Elanora Scout Group for over twenty years.

The hall was closed in 2018, following the discovery of termite damage, and is undergoing renovations, expected to be completed in April 2020.

In the past the operated under a lease arrangement with hiring done by the centre lessee. Northern Beaches Council now manages the centre and will be hiring the available spaces.

Available spaces

The hall comprises of the following spaces*:

  • a hall - 126 square metres
  • a small meeting room - 23 square metres
  • appropriate storage for the Scout Group.

*Floorplans are not yet available, due to the renovation taking place.

At the meeting held on 25 February 2020, Council endorsed the exhibition of fees and charges for the Bilarong Community Hall.
