Council approved the renewal of the road reserve Lease adjoining 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff on 1 July 2020 for a period of five years.

Background

Under s154 of the Roads Act 1993, we are considering the renewal of a road reserve lease for a term of five (5) years to the owner of 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff (SP71452), for an area of approx. 16.6 square metres adjoining 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff.

The purpose of the proposed road reserve lease renewal is to formalise the existing use of the parking of vehicles on part of Council road reserve which adjoins 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff.

Please note, this is a separate application to the proposed road reserve closure and sale of land adjoining 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff.

This proposal was open for consultation in June 2019 and the application is yet to be determined.

June 2019 - Road Reserve Closure proposal

Under Section 38B of the Roads Act 1993, Council gives notice of its proposal to close the Council road reserve adjacent to 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff.

The road reserve under consideration comprises of Council public road with an area of approximately 16.6sqm, known as part Bridge Road adjacent to 20 Bridge Road, Queenscliff (SP 71452).Upon closure of the road reserve, Council intends to sell the land to the adjoining landowner.
