    We are exhibiting the Planning Proposal to amend Schedule 2 of Manly Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2013 to facilitate activities on Community Land. A similar provision already exists in the Pittwater and Warringah LEPs.

    The proposal seeks to make the use of ‘outdoor areas of community land for commercial purposes’ Exempt Development subject to the use being in keeping with the requirements of the relevant Plan of Management.

    This public exhibition is carried out in accordance with a Gateway Determination issued by the Department of Planning and Environment.

    Council at its meeting on 27 March 2018, resolved to submit a Planning Proposal to the Department of Planning and Environment (the Department) to insert a new provision into Manly Local Environmental Plan 2013 to make the use of ‘outdoor areas of community land for commercial purposes’ as Exempt Development subject to the use being in keeping with the requirements of the relevant Plan of Management.
