  • Background

Northern Beaches Council currently leases the Dee Why Children's Centre premises on Fisher Road from the Department of Education. The lease expires in March 2022 and will not be renewed as the building is required to cater for student growth at Dee Why Public School across the road.

Therefore, a new building on Council land in Dee Why, close to public transport will be required to provide an uninterrupted service to the community.

A new two storey building approximately 450m2 in total floor area with associated external space in accordance with child care planning guidelines is proposed at Arthur Reserve, Dee Why to accommodate a maximum of 70 children.

A basement car park is also proposed to be constructed under the building for staff and parents to drop off and pick up their children.
