    At a meeting on 26 June 2018 Council resolved to transfer the new public amenities within the development at 697-701 Pittwater Road, Dee Why to Council and to classify the subject land as community land ('public reserve') in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993.

    The Development Application DA2011/0887 and MOD2012/0087 for the demolition of existing buildings on 697-701 Pittwater Road, Dee Why and the construction of a mixed retail, commercial, residential development and use of premises as retail shops, a café and residential units was approved by the Joint Regional Planning Panel in 2012.

    As part of the development application process, the applicant proposed to remove the public amenities in the adjacent St David Avenue Reserve, construct new amenities in the new strata building and dedicate the amenities to Council upon completion. The new amenities will be accessible from the reserve.

    Council will be responsible for cleaning and servicing these facilities in line with other public amenities within the Council area.
