Construction underway
After years of planning, community consultation and construction, the last major building project of the Glen Street Open Space Masterplan is underway.
Construction has commenced on the expansion and revitalisation of the clubhouse and amenities building at the eastern end of Lionel Watts.
The works will double the floorspace of the building, adding storage for netball, athletics and the Frenchs Forest Agricultural and Horticultural Society as well as a large, covered viewing platform. The existing facilities, currently used by Belrose Rugby League Club, will be upgraded with a new lift. The grandstand will have safety and accessibility upgrades and the function room a minor facelift.
Work is expected to finish in Spring 2021.
