Skate park complete

This much awaited project is now complete and being enjoyed by the young and young at heart.

The official opening of our newest skate park will be held on 1 Dec, 9am-12pm.

We have exciting news. The final designs for the skate park are in and construction is scheduled to be completed by mid to late October.

A big thank you to our Targeted Stakeholder Group (TSG) who used their insights and expertise, as well as feedback from the community, to prepare a design brief for construction. Members of the group include local residents, skate professionals and local young people.

Project updates

The final designs for the skate park are in and construction will soon begin.

At its meeting of Tuesday 28 May, Council resolved to accept the Revolution Pty Ltd tender for the construction of a skate park at Lionel Watts Oval.

Council adopted the Glen Street Open Space Masterplan on 22 May 2018. The overall masterplan is being implemented in stages, and has started with the construction of the soccer pitches and re-turfing of the showground.

It's now time to plan and construct the skate park.

Council is seeking input from you to develop the design brief.

We held design discussions with a targeted group of stakeholders. Members of the group included local residents, skate professionals and local young people.

The Targeted Stakeholder Group (TSG) used feedback from the community to prepare a design brief for construction.
