Rowland Reserve is a regional facility located on Pittwater Road in Bayview. The area features two concrete boat ramps, a car and trailer parking area, boat wash-down facilities and a reserve.

The site is bordered by the Bayview Dog Park to the north, Pittwater Road to the west, Broken Bay Marine Rescue to the south and Pittwater to the east.

In 2015 Council was awarded $1million by the NSW State Government, under the NSW Boating Now funding program to undertake a a series of improvements to boating facilities in the area.

The proposal to place the pontoons at the northern and southern boat ramps is part of an overall project to upgrade the regional facility at Rowland Reserve. The upgrade will see improvements to the amenity for recreational boat users and other visitors to the reserve whilst minimising the environmental impact of ongoing use.

The proposal for new access pontoons will provide recreational boat users with a safe and more efficient means of embarking and disembarking watercraft.
