Our contractor, Ward Civil, is continuing with the construction of the new roadway and car park at Church Point.

The new boardwalk and road realignment will be opened to the public on Monday 4 September, 2017. It is important to note that a 40km/hr road work speed limit will be in place until the Car Park and final road works are completed early in 2018.

The new road alignment and temporary work zone set up for the next stage of works will result in reduced access to the Cargo Wharf for large trucks and no access for semi- trailers.

Users of the Cargo Wharf are also reminded of the following existing load restrictions on the Cargo Wharf:

- Maximum Vehicle Load of 8 tonne axle load

- No vehicle access permitted to the east half of the wharf

- Maximum Uniform Superimposed Load (Bulk Storage) of 0.5 tonnes per square metre

Further works in the area will continue from September to December 2017:

- Carpark foundations

- Service relocations for electricity and telecommunications
