Charging bay installed

Towards a greener Northern Beaches

Ocean Street, Narrabeen was identified as a suitable location for the installation of one electric vehicle charging station, which will utilise the existing Ausgrid infrastructure to provide charging to the allocated bay.

To facilitate this upgrade, we needed to convert the existing unrestricted parking area to ‘No Parking - Electric Vehicles Excepted Only While Charging’.

The chosen parking bay measures approximately 8 metres in length and is located outside the existing Ausgrid infrastructure, opposite the rear of 1238-1246 Pittwater Road, on the eastern side of Ocean Street, Narrabeen

We exhibited the proposal between Friday 28 October and Sunday 27 November 2022 and received 22 submissions. The majority of submissions supported the proposal. Thank you for your feedback.

The proposal was presented to Council's Local Traffic Committee on 6 December 2022. The Committee approved the proposal.

Works are now complete and we have converted the parking bay as highlighted in the proposal (see concept plan below).
