As you are now in the habit of separating your food waste, we encourage you to continue keeping it out of landfill after the pilot finishes, by establishing a home compost system or worm farm.

Kimbriki offer excellent home composting and worm farm workshops at a small cost. On completion of the workshop, Council offers a $90 voucher to residents that can be put towards the purchase of a worm farm or compost bin.

See the dates of the upcoming Kimbriki workshops listed below. They are run at a variety of different locations in our LGA.

2. The starting date of the promotion is Thursday 19 February 2026. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Sunday 29 March 2026.
3. Entries will be collected via survey completions either via the online Food Waste Collection Pilot hub or written survey. All entries must be from real people.
4. Each person should only make one survey contribution and will only be entered into the competition once.
5. Entrants must be at least 18 years old to win.
6. The winners will be selected by random draw from all valid entrants at Northern Beaches Council Office 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why 2099 on Monday 6 March 2026 by 2pm.
7. The winners will be contacted via the email address provided with their entries.
8. If the winner cannot be contacted within 72 hours of the draw, another winner will be drawn.
9. The winner will be announced on the Food Waste Collection Pilot online hub page.
10. The prize is one of 3 x waste reduction packs. Each pack is valued at over $150 (including GST, as per Council’s Fees and Charges).
11. Northern Beaches Council will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Prizes are the responsibility of the recipient once the prize has been awarded.
12. Northern Beaches Council employees and their families may contribute survey responses, however are not permitted to enter the prize draw.
13. Northern Beaches Council reserve the right to exert full decision-making powers and any decision they make is final. Unless requested otherwise, Northern Beaches Council reserves the right to publicly publish the names of prize winners for the purposes of promoting this competition, Food Waste Collection Pilot, now and in perpetuity.
14. Northern Beaches Council does not accept any liability for your expenses, personal injury, damage, theft or loss in connection with the competition even if that loss is caused by Northern Beaches Council negligence.
15. In these Terms and Conditions, the words “winner” and “recipient” are interchangeable except insofar as the context or subject matter otherwise indicates or requires.
