Thank you for your feedback on the proposed re-establishment of the Freshwater Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ).
A report noting the outcome of the public exhibition will be presented to Council at the meeting on Tuesday 26 October 2021.
The report recommends that Council re-establish the Freshwater Alcohol Free Zone for a period of up to 4 years, from 1 December 2021 to 30 November 2025.
Due to recent public health orders, the Council meeting will be held remotely. You can watch the live stream via the webcast from 6pm.

About the Freshwater AFZ
The Freshwater Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ) is bounded by:
- Lawrence Street from Oliver Street to the west
- Ocean View Road to the north
- Undercliff Road to the south
- the public carpark adjacent to Freshwater Beach and next to the Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club to the east.
The AFZ only covers public carparks, streets and pathways contained within this area.
The existing Freshwater AFZ will expire on 9 December 2021. The proposal is to re-establish the AFZ from the period of 1 December 2021 to 30 November 2025.
