We developed a comprehensive community engagement plan that was endorsed by the Council on the 12 November 2024.

The plan outlined a range of different ways we planned to communicate and engage the community to ensure ratepayers and residents were made aware of the financial problem and understood the alternative solutions (options) being proposed that would address the funding shortfall and provide financial sustainability to the Council for future years.

Council delivered an 8 week community consultation program, from 18 November 2024 to 12 January 2025, planned in accordance with IPART requirements and Council’s Community Engagement Policy and Strategy.

Use this page to see the fact sheets, videos, webinar recordings, FAQs and other related documents that were available as part of our community consultation.
