As part of our ongoing playground renewal program (see our Open Space and Outdoor Recreation Strategy), we will be renewing a section of this playground at Manly Lagoon with new play equipment and surfacing to meet current Australian Standards.

Works involve:

• removal and replacement of ageing play equipment
• removal and replacement of ageing rubber safety surfacing.

The new play equipment is designed for toddlers and younger children, and includes:

• a double and single slide
• a fireman’s pole
• steps and decks
• a climbing wall
• a mini Hammock
• interactive elements.

Works are scheduled to begin late March to April 2026 (subject to weather and contractor availability).
The majority of the playground will remain open for the duration of the works.
