At the council meeting held on Tuesday 16 April 2019 Council adopted the Northern Beaches Walking Plan.

The plan provides the priority schedule for the delivery of new footpaths across the area and as well as a number of actions to improve pedestrian access and connectivity.

The local community has been instrumental in achieving increased funding for the construction of new footpaths through their high level of interest in the project. This interest has resulted in an annual budget for new footpaths being increased to $3million for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years.

We have now commenced the design process for the construction of the identified highest priority footpaths in the 2019/20 Financial Year. The full list of footpaths will be detailed on our website following this process.
