Landscape improvements between Palm Beach Road and Ocean Place will start in late May/early June 2018. Works will include:

    • carpark linemarking
    • reshaping and replenishing sand frontage and turf areas
    • establishing a 2m wide crushed sandstone pathway

A condition audit of the Palm Beach rock pool will be completed and the recommendations will assist in the development and prioritisation of Council’s Ocean Pool Renewal Program.

A geotechnical investigation will also be carried out to determine how to best improve drainage on the western side of Ocean Road

Detailed design work is scheduled to commence in later 2018 to estimate scope and budgets for future stages of work.

  • Heritage Walk

Palm Beach has a strong beach and surfing culture which is reflected in the local architecture and the relaxed, natural feel of the area. We want to protect that 'sense of place' and the cultural and heritage values of the area in the Masterplan that we are developing.

Join us for an easy walk along Ocean Road, Palm Beach and learn about the history of the area from our Local Studies Librarian before the information drop in session.
    • Wednesday 16 November 2.30 to 3.30pm
Meet at the ocean pool, southern end of Ocean Road, Palm Beach

Places are limited so bookings are essential for the heritage walk, please phone 9970 1600 to reserve your place.
