Weeroona Reserve Playground

Project update: 23 February 2024

A new “Ninja Warrior” circuit for kids (and big kids) has been created to test their speed and agility against the clock at Weeroona Reserve in Fairlight, opening next week.

The ninja course is the first of its kind to be installed in a playground on the Northern Beaches, responding to the popularity of ninja and obstacle courses for kids of school age.

Would-be ninjas can test their skills on the slanted steps, monkey bars, rope swing, climbing wall and cargo net to complete the course.

New swings have also been installed, along with new sandstone retaining walls and surfacing.

The renewal was required to bring the aging play equipment up-to-date with current Australian Playground Safety Standards.
