Winnererremy Bay Playground (Flying Fox Park)

2 October 2024

  • Works commencing

Works on the new playgrounds will begin Wednesday 16 October. Construction is likely to take 5 weeks, weather permitting.

We are aiming to keep unaffected areas of the playground open to the public during this time, however there may be times when access is restricted due to movement of materials and construction activities to ensure public safety at all times.

Thank you for your patience while we carry out this upgrade.

What's happening?

We are providing a new and exciting play opportunity for primary school-aged children by replacing the ageing climbing net.

The existing climbing net has provided a challenging climbing piece for children for approximately 20 years. A new structure will combine climbing with additional play options to the popular Regional Playground.

The play structure is specifically designed for children aged 5+ with an array of climbing options, slides and challenging access.

The play piece provides climbing and hanging opportunities via the monkey bars, cube net, climbing wall and bars. Access to the tower, slides and swinging bridge crossing is raised from the ground to give the ‘older’ kids their own space.

The rubber surface will be renewed with synthetic grass soft fall.
