Northern Beaches Council will soon be repairing an existing stormwater pipe located at the southern end of Manly Beach (South Steyne). The existing pipe is degraded with multiple cracks and holes visible along the pipe.

The pipe will be lined, repaired and encased in a sandstone concrete shell which will be coloured and shaped to blend in with the existing environment and seawall.

We are also proposing a new seating area for beach users that will help protect the stormwater pipe from future damage.

The work is planned to start in September and is due for completion by November 2018.
