At the 28 March 2023 Council meeting it was resolved to engage with the community to understand any concerns and possible solutions regarding the sale of private cars along Pittwater Road between Anzac Avenue and Hadleigh Avenue, Collaroy.

From 16 June 2023 till 23 July 2023 we engaged with the community and received 901 responses. Thank you for your feedback.

Over 80% of feedback were supportive of the sale of private cars along Pittwater Road, Long Reef stating benefits to the community and a valuable service in a open and safe environment. Those who had concerns were related to parking conflicts and safety issues.

We reported back to council in August, however this matter was deferred with a request to seek further feedback (minutes item 13.3, page 27).

At the September council meeting, it was resolved to defer any decision on this matter (item 13.2 page 12) pending a further briefing from staff.
