Council’s approach to risk

We are committed to being a Council which takes into account the risks and opportunities associated with achieving its objectives.

The draft Enterprise Risk Management Policy outlines our commitment towards proactively assessing and building capabilities for risk management, risk controls and risk treatments.

The Enterprise Risk Management Policy was previously adopted by Council on 27 November 2018 and was reviewed as part of a scheduled review process.

This new draft communicates more succinctly our commitment to managing risk.

Other procedural and operational elements previously included within the policy will continue to be maintained through Council’s Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Management Framework and associated material. In addition, the policy has been adapted into Council’s current policy template format.
