Dee Why Headland Reserve

9 May 2018

As part our ‘Connected Communities’ Program, we are connecting the Northern Beaches through the iconic Northern Beaches Coastal Walkway.

Dee Why Headland has been identified as a key link along the coastal walkway. To improve pedestrian access and safety, we will soon be commencing minor upgrade works.

Upgrade works include:

  • upgrading entry points, look-out and stairs
  • new crushed rock path
  • replacing fencing
  • removing noxious weeds
  • landscaping

How will the works impact me?

Works will be staged by completing one half of the reserve at a time. This will ensure pedestrian access is maintained during the works.

When we begin minor works to the stairs and track, temporary closure of this section is required. Onsite signage notification will be installed prior to commencement of works.

Council and the contractor will be working closely to help minimise disruptions.

Timing of works

Works are proposed to commence in late May 2018 and take approximately 8 weeks to complete (weather permitting).
