Dee Why Town Centre Construction Update - April 2019

With works progressing well in Dee Why Town Centre, we think it's a great opportunity to provide you with an overall update on the construction works.

Pittwater Road

We will be upgrading the footpath on the eastern side of Pittwater Road starting from Sturdee Parade, finishing at Oaks Avenue.

Works are scheduled to commence sometime in May.

Howard Avenue

Shared path works have now commenced along the northern side of Howard Avenue. We've now completed the section from Walter Gors - Avon Road.

We have also commenced the section of shared path from Avon Road to Clive Road. These works are already a third of the way through!

The section of shared path between Clyde Road and The Strand have not yet commenced.

The NBN is currently going through Howard Avenue. Any damage caused by these works will be repaired by Council and works billed to the NBN.

Oaks Avenue

We have now completed the paving works outside 19-21 Oaks Avenue. The seating wall is now complete and the new trees are arriving today (8/4/19)

Paving works on the northern side of Oaks Avenue from the Meriton site to the post office have now commenced.

The current site compound at Triangle Park (south) will be turfed with new trees once these works are complete.

Asphalting works down Oaks Avenue are expected sometime towards the end of May. Residents will be notified about the night works closer to the date.

Pacific Parade

As part of Council's Footpath Renewal Program, we will be upgrading sections of damaged footpath and widening sections where possible. Residents will be notified closer to the works.

Private Developments

Meriton Site

TPG have now commenced work along the footpath along the Howard Avenue frontage. These works are being paid for by Meriton.

18 Howard Avenue

Works at this site have now commenced.Once they have completed building this development,they are also required to upgrade the adjacent footpath and asphalt that section of road.
