The Art Walk aims to link the proposed locations of public art elements within the Dee Why Town Centre.

The proposed Dee Why Art Walk will:
  1. Play an important role in ensuring that the unique character and ideals of the community are solidly embedded within the renewal of Dee Why.
  2. Deliver on the Masterplan’s objective to, "[create] a place that rewards exploration while engaging the community, telling stories and fostering pride of place”.
  3. Be positioned as a ‘cultural walking trail’ located within the heart of the town centre. The walk could provide a variety of experiences, ranging from passive observational artworks, through to dynamic interactive artworks.
  4. Include works ranging from formal public art to urban art pieces, temporary installations and performance and creative landscaping and street scaping solutions.
  5. Encourage diverse cultural experiences and aims to improve the ‘Town Centre Experience’.
