Howard Avenue Shared Path
Construction complete
As part of our commitment to improving pedestrian and cyclist safety through Dee Why, we built a shared path connection along the northern side of Howard Avenue.
The shared path starts at Walter Gors Park and continues on to Dee Why Beach and provides a key link connecting all path users from the town centre to the beach.
Works included
- new kerb and gutter
- new paved path
- new nature strip along kerbside
New trees
As part of these works, Council also planted 30 new trees along the northern side of Howard Avenue. Species include Tristaniopsis laurina and Xanthostemon chrysanthus which were selected based on their suitability as an urban street tree.
