Thank you to the people who made comments on the concept designs for the new playground at Berry Reserve.

The majority of comments that we received on the draft concept were supportive. As a result, Council is proceeding with building the playground as per the original design.

We are excited to let you know that construction has commenced on the playground and, weather permitting, we'll be finished in July.

Please note that the playground will continue to be closed until construction is complete. We thank you for your patience.

  • Background

As part of its Playground Improvement Program, we are planning to upgrade the playground at Berry Reserve in Narrabeen.

The objectives of this program are to provide:
    • Safe, inclusive and accessible playgrounds for the enjoyment of the community
    • Innovative playgrounds offering more opportunity for social interaction
    • Recreational spaces to aid the physical, social and emotional development of children
    • Playgrounds complying with relevant Australian Standards yet offer challenges for a range of ages and abilities
Berry Reserve in Narrabeen is a newly proposed regional playground, adjacent to the Tramshed Community Arts Centre and located on a B-line bus stop. It is one of several playgrounds to be updated in the current year’s capital works program.
