Improving pedestrian safety near Manly Village Public School

We are proposing to improve pedestrian safety near Manly Village Public School by upgrading the existing crossings on Darley Road and Victoria Parade.

Part of the works on Darley Road will be to raise the crossing, extend the kerbs north of the intersection and relocate the stormwater pits to allow for these extensions.

On Victoria Parade we intend to shift the pedestrian crossing slightly east, raise the crossing, include a cycleway crossing and extend the kerbs of the intersection. Stormwater pits will be relocated to allow for these extensions.

To allow greater visibility for pedestrians and vehicles exiting the driveway at 14-16 Victoria Parade, we will need to remove two car parking spaces on the southern side of Victoria Parade.

There will also be a loss of two motorcycle parking spaces and one car parking space on the northern side of Victoria Parade.
