Works completed

We’re building a new footpath along Urunga Street, North Balgowlah as part of Council’s New Footpath Program to improve pedestrian safety and connect residents to transport, parks and shops.

In March 2021 Council sought feedback from residents on a proposed concept design to build a new 1.5m wide concrete footpath between No.2 and No. 28 Urunga Street.

Following feedback received, the design has been revised to improve pedestrian accessibility to the bus stop near Clontarf Street. As a result, two trees will now be removed.

Timing of works

Works are scheduled to commence some time within the 2021/2022 financial year.

Residents will receive notification from the contractor at least 7 days prior to the commencement of works.

Council will be working closely with the contractor to help minimise any impacts caused by traffic and pedestrian diversions, noise and dust. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
