Project under review

What's happening now?

We are working with some of our key stakeholders to respond to questions, and finalise design solutions, for the Pipeline project.

At this time, previous engagement outcomes, further engagement and other activities are paused.

What's proposed?

The Pipeline Active Transport Corridor will provide a 9.2km, 2.5 to 4 metre shared user path from Beacon Hill to St Ives, providing walkers and cyclists with a wider, safer connection to communities and destinations.

The off-road path will include new connections and upgrades of existing paths along the Sydney Water pipeline corridor.

There are eight sections in total, with combined funding for sections 4 to 8 provided through the NSW Government Places to Roam – Regional Trails Program and the Public Spaces Legacy Program. Sections 1 to 3 are currently concept only with more work required before approving, funding and progressing these sections.

Use this page to learn more about the project through our FAQs, and documents links, and jump to the sections of the pipeline that are available to learn more.

Comments on Section 8 (Allambie Heights) closed Monday 3 April.
