Under Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, we proposed to grant an easement to Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises to use an existing pipe within Council Community land for the purpose of pumping wastewater to the Sydney Water sewerage infrastructure.

This easement will formalise the connection from the Kimbriki site to the Sydney Water sewer main to dispose of leachate generated at the Kimbriki site.

We gathered feedback on this proposal between 14 May and 13 June 2021 and received eight submissions. The submissions were generally supportive of the proposal with the majority of people agreeing that the work would assist with the ongoing protection of the land.

At the meeting held on 28 September 2021, Council resolved to grant the easement.
