See how we're managing the works at Apex Park
New amenities building and sewerage upgrades
We’re building a new family friendly and accessible public amenity block at Apex Park, Mona Vale.
In preparation for the upcoming works, we’re also upgrading the connecting sewerage
infrastructure required to support the new amenities and replacing the aged infrastructure currently servicing the surf club and beach amenities block.
These works are significant, require deep excavation and will result in temporary changes to pedestrian access and traffic management to facilitate construction vehicle access.
What you need to know
The building will feature:
- A unisex accessible toilet with baby change table
- An ambulant toilet
- A unisex family change room with a child toilet, baby change table, bench seat, and internal wash basin
area will remain open: however, there will be a temporary closure of the bike
track and the BBQ area during the works.
scheduled to commence in March 2021 and take approximately 12 weeks to complete
Hours of work are between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
There will be some temporary changes to park access during the works. Site fencing will be in place to help secure the work zone and onsite signage will help direct pedestrians safely around the site.
There will be some temporary changes to parking and traffic as required to help accommodate construction vehicle movement and heavy machinery access.
Traffic control will be onsite as required.
Mona Vale Surf Club Renewal
As part of the forward four-year capital works program, we are renewing the Mona Vale Saving Club and cafe.
In addition to the Mona Vale Surf Life Saving renewal project Council approved two new external public amenities buildings, as part of the 2019-2023 Delivery Program.
As a result we're improving public amenities at Mona Vale Beach with the construction of new amenities in Apex Park and the upgrade of the existing amenities adjacent to the pool.
Engagement on both phases of this project is now complete.
