We are committed to building an inclusive and accessible community on the Northern Beaches. Improving the accessibility and inclusion of Council facilities, public areas and programs is a fundamental component of our project and service delivery and is supported by our Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2022-2026.

Under Focus Area 2.08 of the DIAP, we have committed to "improve access to unisex accessible toilets in public spaces and Council assets". We are refurbishing the amenities at Church Point and adding an accessible toilet.

The revised design will maintain 2 toilets in the females, a toilet and urinal in the males, whilst adding an accessible toilet and baby change table in the accessible amenity. The bus terminal will remain and receive a refresh along with the building’s exterior. To accommodate the accessible amenity, a small extension of approximately 600mm will occur on the northwestern corner only.

The works commenced Monday 27 October and are anticipated to be completed by Christmas 2025 (subject to weather). Temporary amenities will be available while the works are underway.
