    Under s47A of the Local Government Act 1993, Council is considering a lease for a term of six months to RMS for the parcel of land known as:
    The purpose of the lease is for road widening construction, installation of associated infrastructure, construction of a new footpath/stairs and associated landscaping works on the Council reserve.
    A separate process is being undertaken for RMS to acquire some of the leased land in the future as part of the road widening work.

    • Lot 101 DP 749415, Lot 6 DP 239061 and Part of Lot 12 DP 241313 Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale

    The purposes for the lease are as follows:

    Lot 2, 3 & 4 DP 350940 Walana Crescent, Mona Vale - is for road widening purposes, particularly in relation to accommodating shared path, noise wall and 3m wide maintenance access track.

    Part of Lot 12 in DP 241313, 105 Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale - is for road widening purposes at the North-West corner of the intersection of Mona Vale Rroad and Samuel Street and construction access.

    Part of Lot 101 DP 749415, Part of Lot 6 DP 239061 and Part of Lot 12 in DP 239196 - is for on site drainage detention works to make sure the impact of road widening, and thereby additional road run off from the project, is captured on site to ensure the existing flows on downstream drainage are not exceeded.

    Thank you to those who made a public submission regarding the public exhibition of the lease of land along Mona Vale Road to the RMS. Six submissions were received and the RMS have made responses to those submissions.

    Council is currently negotiating terms of the proposed acquisitions and leases with RMS. However, in the meantime, RMS may apply to Council for a Working on and Access to Reserves Application to access the site to commence works.

    Update: 6/7/2018 - Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has addressed the issues that were raised in the submissions received. The proposed lease is being prepared.

    Update: 3/10/2018 - Early Entry Lease and Construction Lease granted to RMS.

    In accordance with Section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993, Northern Beaches Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to issue a licence to Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre (KRRC) to allow for the construction of a Leachate Treatment Plant on site, and a pipeline to connect to the existing Sydney Water sewer main situated in a Council public reserve known as Cooyong Road Reserve, being Lot 15 in DP237301 located to the rear of 25 and 27 Currong Circuit, Terrey Hills.

    The purpose of the construction of the Leachate Treatment Plant and associated pipeline is to provide a reliable method for the treatment and disposal of leachate generated on site.
